The Government of Australia has renewed its core grant to ICCIDD which will allow ICCIDD to undertake additional advocacy work to assure political commitment to USI and IDD Elimination in at least 8 countries, with particular reference to Asia and to undertake national advocacy events in others.
AUSAID is the largest contributor to ICCIDD core resources and is a strong support of USI and IDD Elimination in its own work and in UNICEF and WHO. It has been a supporter of ICCIDD since inception. The Regional Coordinator, Dr. C. Eastman, worked directly with AUSAID to secure this grant supported by the Executive Director.
