ICCIDD is a leading partner in The Network, a broad group of international development agencies (WHO, UNICEF), health promoters (Center for Disease Control and Prevention), salt producers, service organizations (Kiwanis International) and universities.  Moblizing the human and financial resources of Network allies leverages ICCIDD's in-country efforts to build and support national coalitions to achieve universal salt iodization.

With sadness, we announce the passing on Sept. 30 of Network chairman Rainer Gross of UNICEF after a heroic struggle against cancer.  His leadership will be missed.

Assuming the helm of The Network is new chairman Alan Court, Dr. Gross' supervisor at UNICEF.  Court is supported by new Network Coordinator Lucie Bohac.  The Network is officed with partner group Micronutrient Initiative which has relocated its office, still in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.  The new street address is 180 Elgin Street, Suite 1000, Ottawa, ON  K2P 2K3.
