After a slow start in the early 1900's, the Land of Eternal Sky, Mongolia, has reached near total success in Universal Salt Iodication goals. Over 88% of all households in the landlocked Central Asian Country (See ICCIDD map) have access daily to adequately iodized salt. This is a significant achievement considering the dispersion of the population with only one major urban center, vast expanses of prairie with nomadic peoples and small villages far from each other.
