Vietnam illustrates value of monitoring |

The disappointing news reported by WHO in Vietnam seems to indicate that access to iodized salt has been declinging in some areas. That dissapointing report, however, masks some good news. The situation was revealed by the accurate monitoring system in place by the Government of Vietnam.. In any event, the situation demonstrates the need for constant vigilance of the access to iodized salt, its level of iodization and the status of iodine nutrition in the population.
